Question / Help ipad to osx capture using quicktime just for audio?

My setup is iPad name "ipadABC" connected to my mac via USB-C. In OBS I can directly add a Video Capture Device "ipadABC" but I can not add an audio for that capture device into OBS.


My work around is to use QuickTime to to start a New movie recording then select "ipadABC" for both Camera and Microphone. I can then route the audio from QuickTime to OBS using loopback.


I played around with elgatos Game Capture HD and it can capture both Video and Audio from my iPad via the USB-C cable so it is doable. Is there a way to do it with OBS?

Yes Camtasia also works to capture video and audio from a connected iPad. I want to do live Streaming with OBS but the inability to capture video and audio at the sometime with the iPad is frustrating beyond words.
