Question / Help IP Camera as Video Capture Device on OBS x64

Hello all,

I have a little and very weird problem with OBS. I don't own a webcam. I use my smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S2) as a webcam through an app on the phone and some drivers installed on my PC (App is IP Webcam and the drivers installed are IP Camera Adapter and webcamXP 5).

The thing is I don't have a problem adding the IP Webcam on OBS x32 or XSplit. However, on OBS x64 while trying to add this camera, the device is not shown. The list of devices is shorter (the x64 list presents only the Dxtory Videos, no webcams). I repeat: on OBS x32 the device DOES appear. It's quite bizarre, don't you think?

So, do you have any tips guys? Thanks in advance!

Best regards,

- Netherbane

It's almost certainly because there are no 64bit drivers installed for that device. This is normal.

Well, I found ManyCam as the only x64 driver for me that works fine. The downside is that it must run in the background while using the webcam. Thanks Krazy for the tip: You were right!

If anyone has the same problem, just try this one out!

Please keep this updated. I want to be able to stream IP Camera in OBS x64 without having a background program up. Thanks!
