Question / Help iOS games and audio sync

I'm new to streaming and have set up my game (World of Tanks Blitz) from iOS -> Airserver -> OBS MP

I detect very slight audio delay in this example clip: http://www.twitch.tv/kai920hk/v/14702069

Two questions:

1. Can anyone confirm, if there IS indeed any audio delay in the above clip?

2. When playing the game on my iPhone, there is definitely audio lag from PC speakers due to Airplay from iOS -> Airserver. Is there any way around this for me locally, because the delay in sound affects my gameplay somewhat.

Thanks in advance.

There's about a 200ms audio delay between the video and audio.

If you're saying there's audio lag listening through your PC speakers due to Airplay then you'll have to figure out through Airplay how to improve that. You can set audio offsets in OBSMP to correct for the cast but it doesn't help you too much since the audio will play the same for you.

Thanks for your reply Joe. I'm asking their tech support if they have any further suggestions.

I don't suppose I can plug headphones into my iPhone to get lag-free audio AND have Airserver capture the delayed audio output for the stream?

Edit: since there is definite audio lag in the recording, I'd need to introduce slight video lag to compensate?

You might be able to set a negative audio delay in Advance Audio Settings (the gear button next to the mixer).

That assumes you can get HDMI output from your iPhone. That basically replaces Airserver to capture the iPhone over HDMI.

Yep, I realize I'll have to get the Lightning to HDMI adapter. I won't run into any HDCP issues with regular gaming right?
And I think I'll go for an internal capture card rather than a USB box as I don't see myself recording or streaming without my main PC. (i7-4790k)

I got an AverMedia Live Capture HD Lite.. and now I see many people having problems with HDCP, myself included. Is there any way to get this card working in OBS instead of a black HDCP screen? I'm using HDMI from my iPad... why are the contents of a game HDCP protected??

Solution is to get an HDMI splitter box?

OK, will hunt down one of these boxes or something similar, thanks.

Is this really HDCP's intended use, to handicap legitimate uses...

That's a whole other can 'o worms..

Yeah, I realize from my brief searching - HDCP did not defeat the pirates, but have greatly impeded normal users. Is HDCP here to stay... forever? Ugh.

I managed to pick up a 1x2 splitter box, I can see the capture in OBS now without the black screen (yay!) but don't appear to getting audio through HDMI...

Edit: didn't realize I have to use the audio out port on the card itself: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2527462/aver-media-live-gamer-sound-playback.html
