Invisible OBS UI Window

Hello,

I've been using OBS for quite a while with no problems. Last night when I run it, after working OK for most of the day, the OBS UI opened and was active but its UI window was not visible. I've done many things to try and restore it but the window is not outside the screen, it's somewhere within it, because if I right click on some areas I get the context menu of OBS. I apparently right click where the OBS window is, but it's invisible.

I use it to capture either a TV tuner window or a browser window. Nothing fancy.

I have tried:
Reinstalling OBS and rebooting the PC.
Running OBS as an Administrator.
Maximizing, Minimizing, Restoring, Moving the OBS window. It's icon is on the task bar but none of these work.
Tried to switch to it with Alt-Tab . The OBS window is there but clicking on it won't bring it back.
I thought the problem may be me setting "Open Stats on Startup". I found the ini file of the default profile and tried both setting it to "false" and deleting the setting altogether.
Changed monitor resolution to 720p, 1080p and 2160p
Stopped OBS from the Task Manager and when I re-run it I get the prompt to open in SAFE mode - no change.

Any suggestions on what else to try?

Thank you.

Are you sure that OBS is on the current desktop?

Yes. I also tried to open OBS on a new desktop but I still can't see it. I tried to follow the thread you linked to, but I don't understand what the poster is talking about. We seem to have the same problem, but I don't have two monitors and I can't tell how he fixed the problem.

New snag: Now when I start OBS, its UI still opens, I still can't see it, and the PC freezes ... I can't do anything with it, it doesn't respond to any clicks on any apps, only to a Ctr-Alt-Del where I can Sign Off and On again and get the Desktop.

Thank you for your response.

If the PC freezes this way, it seems you have some basic Windows OS issue. I recommend you do a complete graphics driver reinstall.

By the way, everything else works fine. I'm now running XSplit to stream and it works great. I don't thing there is an issue with the graphics driver.
