Question / Help Internet lagging while streaming 1080p?

Heya,

I used to stream at 720p because of my processor, but now I got a new one and I'm able to stream 1080p.

My internet is 25 down and 4up, so my settings are 2500 bitrate buffer size 5000.

This works completely fine on 720p, but if I switch it to 1080p my ping will start spiking up to 100 randomly.

Any idea why?

Make sure the Low latency mode in checked in your advance settings

make sure that you get the latest test build from the download page, you wanna try "minimize network impact" from broadcasting settings first pick the server with least ping time and then if that doesn't work post a log file.

that being said 100ms is still a minor ping

Likely because 1080p is using more of that 5000 buffer, and more often.
