Question / Help Internet connection just... Well, something's wrong for sure

Hey, i tried starting streaming but i'm having these internet problems when i stream.

My internet connection drops and it won't get back until i restart my computer.

Just ran a casual speedtest and it's at 41 mps up and 12 mps down

There is almost literally no way OBS could have that effect; I am going to go out on a limb here and assume it's either your router or the method you connect to said router that is causing the issue.

Are you wireless?

Wired. And yeah, i feel the same way, but it only happens when streaming, so it can't be anything else.

Streaming wiht xsplit works without this issue, but i'd rather use obs by far, though.

ALTHOUGH, when i think of it. I am using an usb adapter to connect to the internet since my network card is broken.

I suggest updating drivers for any and all hardware involved in your connecting to the Internet. And if you're connecting through a router you may also want to ensure it's updated to the latest version of its firmware.

Thing is, to my knowledge there is no network related code in OBS that is intrusive enough to cause a connection to just drop like that. So, my reasoning is that the connection you have right now is very fragile as-is.
