Question / Help Internal WebCam shows OK. No image from External WebCam

Hi. Complete beginner to OBS here.

I'm trying to locally record some on-screen activity with multiple windows. I can do all this OK.

I cannot, however, get a signal into OBS from my external WebCam (Creative Live! WebCam VF0700). My laptop's built-in WebCam works fine, but I need to move it about (hence the WebCam)

Using the 'Camera' app in Windows, I can see the picture fine from both cameras, so I know the camera is actually working.

I've tried doing a 'Window Capture' of the 'Camera' app also, but still no signal.

Please help - It's for a short project, and I'm clearly missing something fundamental here...

It's possible the webcam is too old to support 64 bit drivers. Does it appear OK in the 32 bit version of OBS available from https://obsproject.com/download?

Very possibly. It's an old one I pulled out of a box of computer bits....
