internal webcam dead after installing OBS-VirtualCam

I installed the OBS-VirtualCam plug-in (to use with Zoom) and now I can no longer access my internal laptop webacm as a source. The OBS-VirtualCam is working well and I can use it to access a USB camera and port the output of OBS over to Zoom. Unfortunately my internal camera is no longer accessible as a source, even though the "red light" comes when when I select it. It seems I am probably missing something rather simple, but I cannot determine what. Any suggestions appreciated.

If your camera is used in OBS, it can't be used by other apps. Only a single app can access a video capture device at once.

Are you trying to access your laptop's internal webcam in Zoom while you have it as a Source in OBS
You have to set it all up in OBS then use OBS-VirtualCam to add the OBS output as a camera in Zoom Set up multiple scenes, like a facecam scene

Yes this happened to me also, I finally fixed it by opening the bios at start up, not changing anything and saving...i think...truthfully I was trying to follow instructions i found online that did not exactly match my computer, but whatever I did it worked and the integrated camera came back...since then I am careful about not making more than one call to the integrated camera at the same time.

FIXED! Not a problem with the OBS-VirtualCam plug-in. It seems the camera was disabled somehow during the process of installing the plug-in. The camera was restored (for all uses) simply by using the Function F6 key on the laptop.

Can someone help me, my built-in webcam for laptop is still hidden i already tried uninstalling the OBS-virtual cam plugin but the built-in webcam still hidden also here the link to issue in github : https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/issues/3555

If you are still having issues with this try:
WinKey+X then select Device Manager. Scroll down, and if your issue is the same as mine, you should find a yellow exclamation point next to a USB device. Highlight the device with the !, and at the top of the window you should find a gray arrow pointed down. when you hover your mouse over it, it should say Disable device. Select this option. wait a second, and select the green arrow it turned into for Enable this device. It should come back without the yellow exclamation point. If so, your camera should now be usable again. {My attached screen grab no longer shows the yellow exclamation point, but you get the idea}
