Question / Help Internal Microphone and External Input

I have been trying all morning long to get either the Mac microphone or an input from the Sound board to input sound into my stream. I am using a Canon Vixio camera for video but cannot get sound into OBS no matter what I do. I have downloaded, installed and setup ishowu as suggested and still cannot get audio on the stream. I do get audio from my desktop if I play music on my mac and it will show up in OBS. However no other inputs come in. What do I need to do?

I am having to do some hardware upgrades. I will let you know what the final solution is. I finally was able to get the Input from the Macbook microphone work and from the mirabox HDMI feed from the camera to work as well. The sound from the camera is bad though.
