I've started getting intermittent issues with no game/mic audio from my Gaming PC being broadcast, saved in the VOD or saved in a recording.
It started after I configured the Advanced Audio so that background music wouldn't be saved in my VODs.
Tried various iterations inc. resetting it back to previous settings, but still the same, so I keep it with the correct "no VOD music" setup.
When it decides to work, it works.
My audio setup is
Gaming PC (NDI Output): Game and Desktop audio, Mic, Discord, Alerts etc...
Streaming PC (NDI Input): NDI sound, Music via browser
Streaming PC | Settings | Output:
Audio Track: 1
Twitch VOD Track: 2
Streaming PC | Advanced Audio Properties:
Stream Music: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6
NDI Game PC: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
The Streaming PC Audio mixer shows NDI audio activity, so it all looks good when I hit Start Streaming.
But sometimes viewers can only hear the background music, no game or mic audio from the Gaming PC, even though I can see its signal being received.
If I do a test recording on the streaming PC, it's silent. The bg music is ignored (correctly), but it should still have game sound.
I always do a hi-res/bitrate recording on my gaming PC to upload to YouTube later, but that's always been ok.
It's only the live stream that doesn't get the game sounds.
If I reboot it might start working again. so it's not consistent and I was wondering if anyone else has had this?
Something causing it to intermittently fail to work.
Both using OBS v27.2.4
Both W10 Pro, fully patched and shutdown at end of the day.
Voicemeter and Virtual Cables on both PCs.
Restream Chat on Streaming PC (so I can VBAN chat to gaming PC).
Was working fine up until a week or so ago. Nothing had changed in that time other than VOD audio config.

Today I tried stop/start of the streaming PC OBS a few times. No change.
After my gaming session I rebooted both PCs, did another test and it worked!. It broadcast the game sounds.
