Bug Report Intermittent crashing - Happening suddenly after months fine

Hi guys,

I run OBS on a dedicated streaming PC, been fine for a couple of months since I set it up with no errors/crashing at all. Then all of a sudden it crashed on Wednesday, thought it might be a one off. Upgraded OBS since then and it happened again tonight.

There's no stuttering/any issues with OBS before it happens. Just suddenly get a crash message and it closes.

After the crash I need to reboot my PC as it 'hangs' in task manager and won't let me close it out. After reboot everything fine and works again without issue.

Any help appreciated. I've attached todays log file and also the two crash files from today and Wednesday.

Bump. Tried to decipher the crash logs myself - beyond my skill set I'm afraid.

How come you ask this? Not needed a reason to update the bios as far as I know?

Early ryzen motherboard bios had microcode issues that caused crashes in x264 encoding.

I'll take a look. Would that cause issues now after it working fine for the last 2 months of streaming on this PC?

Anyone able to take a look through the crash logs to see if there's an apparent cause for the crashes?

Crash is definitely a hardware failure, either overclocking, bad RAM or bad CPU (which BIOS microcode update may help with).

Ah ok, thanks. I shall start with a BIOS update then and see if it stops. Not happened since I initially posted this, so it's very intermittent.
