Intermittent Compression Artefacts

Hi there,

I've recently been assigned a project at work to setup a live stream of a shipping channel. Overall the picture looks good but I am having intermittent issues with compression artefacts (I believe this is what they are called). I'm a noob when it comes to video streaming and can't work out how to negate this problem. The issue happens intermittently and varies in severity, usually it affects a horizontal band shaped region across the screen for 1 to 2 seconds, usually at the water level and can be seen in the attached photos.

Can anyone shed any light on this issue or share any recommendations on a resolution?

This is commonly seen when using an RTSP source, try to force your RTSP server to use TCP as dropped packets in UDP mode cause this kind of artifacting.
