Intermittent blackout of combined video output on transition

Hi,
We're currently using OBS to stream presentations on zoom, using a combination of browser (for google slides) and video capture from a DSLR.
I use a 'move' transition to switch between full-screen video, full-screen browser (slides) and a combined scene.

I use studio mode to prepare transitions, and output to the virtual camera (not actually streaming), which is set as the video source in Zoom.
Audio is handled separately, with a microphone going directly into Zoom.

Everything works perfectly 90% of the time, but every now and then, when I trigger a transition the entire video output cuts to black for a few seconds before cutting back to the transitioned scene.

We've done the same presentation nearly 100 times now, and the transitions are always in the same order, which all work for most presentations, but then sometimes there can be 2 or 3 occurrences of the blackout within the same presentation.

There are no frames being recorded as 'missed'' or 'skipped', the stats say 0 for both, and average rendering time is around 5ms, with about 3% cpu usage.

I've checked the log and there's nothing in there at the time of the blackouts

I'm on 27.0.1 but this has been happening for the past few versions I think.

Anyone have any idea why this happens or how I can fix it?

Can you see the blackout in the program window, or just on zoom?
Please provide an obs-log from those session, too:

The program window (and zoom)

Literally nothing but transitions in the log around the time, but it's here:

Okay, i hoped to see a complete log. So please close OBS, re-open it and do upload "last log". Then a statistics will follow the log entries.

Hhhhm. Totally unobtrusive.

Can you open the virtualcam with a native camera app locally, if that happens again?
(I mention the possiblity that zoom decelerates while accessing a frame from the virtualcam so blocking it for a certain time. The capturing and rendering process itself isn't affected this way.)

So if you record in parallel there is no "blackout" in the recording then, isn't it?

It's tricky, as it's entirely unpredictable. We can run an entire hours show with now issue, then it can happen 3 times in the next hour long show!
