I've got a new PC with a fresh install of OBS but I have been getting an intermittent crackling or popping sound from the capture card's audio.
Solutions I've tried but have not fixed the issue:
The crackling, popping sound happens anywhere from once every 5-10 seconds to several times in succession so it isn't constantly happening but it is noticeable enough to be distracting. I tested it again on the laptop I was previously using and there were no crackles so it's definitely related to the new PC and not the capture card and/or the capture sources but without much clue on how to analyze the log I'm just blind firing different solutions I've found doing searches.
Thanks in advance for anyone able to help!
Solutions I've tried but have not fixed the issue:
- Disabling capture card audio and setting up separate direct capture card audio input source
- Adjusting audio bitrate in settings
- Matching all audio sample rates to 44k, 48k, etc
- Disabling desktop audio option
- Disabling capture card audio and setting up a "listen to this device" audio input source
- Switching encoder options
