Not sure if this is entirely possible due to how limited OBS's APi is. I'm looking for a "simple" plugin that will add mine or general caster stream chats to the side of the obs window. Maybe have a button somewhere on OBS that expands the chat to open / closed. I was thinking about making this myself but have no clue how to utilize OBS's APi in the first place.

IRC type clients tend to be more of a problem for me than they're worth. Most of the time I have problems with server connection issues.

Which service were you planning on using? I assumed Twitch, which uses IRC for its chat system, so if you want a plugin to use it then that plugin is going to be connecting to an IRC server. Hitbox uses HTML5 I think, not sure what other services use. Maybe I'm just misunderstanding what you're requesting?

Its' fine. Its' my fault for not clearly explaining. Instead of using a separate program like chatty, hexchat, xchat, etc i'm looking for OBS & channel chat to be implemented to be into one solid screen / program. Ill put an example below. Maybe have a dropdown selection to change the chat to what website your streaming to "twitch, hitbox, etc".
