Question / Help Interesting FPS Drops, not sure which settings would be good for my setup

So I was looking to get into streaming and recording video games. I happen to choose OBS for my needs. I first tried to use OBS with minecraft and was experiencing extreme FPS drops. I would play without having OBS stream with about 130 FPS, but then as soon as I would hit record, it would drop to 7-15 frames.

Same thing would happen to valve games, for TF2, I can play normally with 100 fps, but then when I would record, it would drop to about 30-ish frames. Which is okay, but playing in 60 fps would be ideal.

Anyway here is the log you guys care about: https://gist.github.com/9006b2f095bb04e626d0

My setup, I would like to know if there is a guaranteed setup for OBS w/ my computer build

Also, here is my speed test: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3604540763

Thanks, look forward to hearing from you guys soon!

My suggestion: 720p@30fps@3000 bitrate@cpu preset faster or fast.

Cbr and cbr padding on, custom buffer size off.

Obs cpu priority: high.

After all that open up your game and stream normally, the start up task manager, look at total cpu usage. Move around in game, flicking mouse around like crazy. The cpu percent should max out at 85 percent, or around there. If it maxxes at 100 turn cpu preset down to a faster speed, like very fast.

Furthermore 2000 bitrate is very good lookong for 720p, so if viewers complain of buffering, lower bitrate to 2000 ish.

Finally, good luck!

EDIT: make sure you use GAME CAPTURE!

Unless you are playing a twitch shooter, above 30fps is not needed. You will get more viewers with 30 fps. I only stream now at 60 when i play Quake, CSGO is at 45.

EDIT: it is POSSIBLE to do 60 fps
