Question / Help Intel Quick Sync & Local Recording Settings?

I have have followed this guide here for the settings to use for local recording...

but his guide was written up before Intel Quick Sync was more widely available. I have used the above suggestions with crf=18 but the capture videos are an awful quality. Is there a setting that needs to be altered when Intel Quick Sync is being used?

That guide is only going to work with x264, using it with Quick Sync will result in terrible quality. Just set a higher bitrate and don't use a custom buffer size or custom params.

Is 10000 a good bitrate you use? And should i enable CBR and CFR?

You will have to test a bit, for 1080p 60fps and then fast content 10mbps might be too less, but for a slow game in 1080p30 it might be perfect. (The new options will include different options to use a variable bitrate in this case)
