I'm building a new gaming, photogrammetry, and video editing PC and I was set on Intel 13th gen (for the QuickSync encoder), paired with my old RTX 2080 Ti. But the Ryzen 9 CPUs have some features that I find appealing like eco mode to limit wattage, and general power efficiency. Plus it would a nice novelty since the last AMD I had was an Athlon way back around 2002.
How viable is it to use an AMD Ryzen 9 7900X with an RTX GPU, but with OBS recording done by an Intel Arc? Especially encoding to AV1? Or at least HEVC. I've found some threads where folks were having issues, but they were from several OBS versions ago. Have the issues been fixed?
And would there be performance differences between the different Arc models? Could they all handle encoding 4K 4:4:4 chroma 30fps? I have a Nvidia T400 that works fairly well with those settings but sometimes struggles due to lack of CUDA computing power.
