Intel Arc A770 AV1 hardware encoding? Supported?

On the same computer, under Windows, I can use Intel's own Arc settings app to record the screen using the AV1 hardware encoder.

Of course, Intel has not released such an app for Linux. I installed OBS, and I installed the optional package of "libva-intel-driver", but the only "FFmpeg VAAPI H.264" and "x264" are available for the "Video Encoder". In the Encoder Settings, "DG2 [ Arc A770]" is the only VAAPI Device.

Did I miss something or is AV1 hardware encoding not supported?

Since you're looking at the streaming tab, you need to stream to youtube specifically, as other services don't support AV1 ingest.
IF you're doing this for recording, check the recording tab.

I switched to the Recording tab, and the available video encoders are like the following. This page says that SVT is a software encoder, and web search results say AOM is slower than SVT, meaning it is not a hardware encoder either. Does OBS only support softaware AV1 encoding, even if the GPU supports hardware encoding?
