Installing OBS

Hello:

I have installed OBS and when I open it I get the following message:

Failed to initialize video, GPU may not be supported or graphics drivers may need to be updated. I am using a Matrox m9120 16 graphics card, any help getting OBS to run would be greatly appreciated, thanks, Allen

According to https://video.matrox.com/en/apps/dr...roductList=80&softwareTypeList=12,9&osList=77 , the drivers haven't been updated in almost 7 years. Make sure you are using those.

Try an older version of OBS such 27.2.4 from https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/releases/tag/27.2.4
You can find older versions at https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/releases

Thanks for the response, I am using windows server 2022 standard, the drivers that you sent me to are not for windows server 2022, I am using the latest drivers for the M9120 PCIe 16 card, Allen

Do you have an Intel CPU and if yes, what is it?

There's no drivers for 2022 but there are newer ones for 2019 at https://video.matrox.com/en/apps/dr...ductList=80&softwareTypeList=12,9,8&osList=85

That video card physically lacks support for Directx 10.1 and opengl 3.2.
It is below minimum requirements for use with OBS.
