insert a PDF in OBS STUDIO

Hi I followed all the tutorials on: How to insert a PDF in OBS STUDIO
downloaded the obs-ghostscrppt v. 1.2 version and copied the files into the obs-studio folder
I open OBS but I do NOT find the PDF Documents item in the new scenes (...)
use OBS version 31.00 64 bit for Windows 11
I don't understand why, all the tutorials have the same procedure.
Thanks Franco

Tutorials are often outdated. Take them with a grain of salt.

And there are SO many resources that most of us are unfamiliar with most of them. Links would be nice.

Anyway, what end result do you want, from the viewers' perspective?

It's still not clear what you want to do. What is "alternate a presentation"? Please describe your goal. What do you want to do with the pdf in your stream? If you just want to show a pdf in your stream, the most easy method is to add a browser source, set it to display a local file instead of an url and point the local file to your pdf.

It's simple.
During a live stream, I film the speaker with my camera.
When the speaker starts his presentation (usually many pages in PDF format), I would like to view the same PDF file inside OBS and scroll the pages following his presentation.
I already have his file locally

When you have the browser source selected, there's an Interact button. Click that, it opens a new window, and you can run the browser in there like any other, even if you then select something else or whatever.
As long as you keep that window open, it works like any other browser. (it's actually a pared-down, slightly-old version of Chromium) If you close it, and you need to work with it again, just go back and get it again.

The other option is to use (Application) Window Capture.. then you could be using a browser of choice or any other PDF reader (in this circumstance, or any application as is needed... for me it is a windowed PowerPoint slide show, but could be any application) ...
Typically you'd crop the window in OBS Studio to remove the application window's Title/Status bars as appropriate... And you would interact with the application directly... not from inside OBS Studio (where you are typically seeing the composited result you've created, not interacting directly with any of the sources.
in my case, I have the slide show window largely (not completely) covered by a browser window where I'm monitoring the livestream... by moving mouse over the slide show window BUT not making it the active window (ie no mouse click to bring application 'forward' ie make active), I can still use mouse scroll wheel to advance/change slides.. works great for me

When working on a laptop, with really limited (small) single screen space, using OBS Studio's native Browser source and Interact option makes a lot of sense.
