Hi guys!

I have a neat setup for gaming and streaming with 2 pcs, I'm using my gaming pc with a 4k monitor to my laptop via an Elgato and the MOST WEIRD thing is happening:
1 - When I open the game it runs PERFECT, awesome in 4K.
2 - I open OBS and it messes the whole color pattern in game, which affects the streaming as well since I'm using a display capture device.
3 - Tried using instead of display capture the game capture feature in obs but my laptop wont pic it up, NDI is on, that's not an issue.

What am I doing wrong here? this is the only ONLY issue that's been bothering me for a week now and I can't solve it on my own.

Hi Suslik V,

None of the links below address the issue:
1- The problem is not with the Elgato;
2- The issue is that when I use the capture display it changes all the color patterns in the game, thus, reflecting on the streaming;
3- This only happens when I use the display capture function, however, when using the game capture function I can't get the elgato that is connected on the streaming pc to pick up the signal from the gaming pc.

Solutions or suggestions?

I forgot to mention...

The setup is as follows:

1- 4k monitor connected via display port to video card
2- hdmi cable connected from monitor to elgato
3- hdmi cable connected from elgato to video card
4- elgato connected via usb cable to laptop (streaming computer)

Everything works fine BUT the color pattern... this is the last issue to be resolved.
I believe I cant use the game capture function since the monitor is displaying from a display port and not from an HDMI connection which still doesnt explain the color pattern shift, if anything the color pattern should be messed up on the OBS streaming window alone but never on the gaming pc monitor...

Anyone?
