Question / Help Infinite windows within OBS.

Brand new user and first time trying to setup OBS. I watched all the tutorials to start using OBS.
My issue is that when using display capture I'm getting an infinite number of windows, or displays, on the screen. (see attached file.) It's like looking into a mirror with another mirror behind you.
I'm sure it has to be a simple matter to resolve but I can't seem to do this on my own.

I'd appreciate any assistance that someone can offer.

Its because you have display capture capturing the sceen obs is on

What you are seeing is normal and is called the Video Feedback Effect. It will go away when you stop looking at the OBS preview on the same display you're capturing. Read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_feedback for more info.

Thanks guys for the help. I guess what I am wanting to do is capture how I'm utilizing some software for someone. Is there a way to capture this using just one monitor, or is this software based on the need to have an alternate video source like a camera, other monitors, etc..

As long as that software isn't OBS you should be fine.
