Question / Help Increased internet speed, stream now has severe lag.

so last night i increased my internet speed to 50/25 plan. I usually stream using obs via my HD PVR 2 gaming edition plus. ever since the change in speed, streaming from that and any from a file not using monitor capture severely lags the only thing that doesnt lag is netflix but it does change from green to yellow. I never changed the settings on obs. I use 1280 x 720 video option and didn't change anything else. before I was on like 5 down and sometimes 2/3 up speed and i never had this amount of lag then. the speed test as of typing this is 20.86 down and 14.77 down. i dont think I should be getting lag instantly like that. it is happening on both my desktop and laptop (both wireless) what is the problem? settings somewhere? is it router? or is it my network adapter on my desktop (wireless G)

i could really use the help.

I have had the same router since april. was running fine streaming with no lag before the speed boost

You need to include a log from an actual streaming attempt.

Also, delete your custom x264 settings. They aren't doing anything for you, those parameters are already set in Setting>Encoding within the OBS UI.

Also version 0.553 alarm, you need to download the installer and manually update the version

Don't use Monitor capture with Aero enabled on Windows 7. Just stick to Window capture. If you absolutely must use Monitor capture, make sure you disable Aero.
