Question / Help Increase Audio Recording Resolution for Recording?

Hi,

I'm using Windows 10 OBS. I can't find a setting to change the resolution of audio recording. Is there one? Where can I find it? I'm just coming in through the 3.5mm headphone jack, but with a high quality lav and the audio is very tinny. (Well, not pro quality equipment, it's a smartlav+, prosumer, but it sounds way better when I record a test in Audition at 44k 16bits than in OBS.)

There must be an easy way to set this I'm not finding. Any pointer(s) appreciated.

Cheers,
-ub

In OBS, you can set your recording audio bitrate in the Settings->Output(->Audio) section.
As far as sampling rate, normally that's set in the Windows Recording Devices section in the OS per-device. OBS' internal sampling rate is set in the Settings->Audio section.

Past that, OBS applies zero audio filtering by default to inputs. In many cases, it'll be the first time people hear what their mic actually sounds like, which can be a shock.
