Question / Help Inconsistent Stutter

Hi all,

I seem to be getting really inconsistent stutter while trying to local record, although it may be tied into trying to record more graphically intensive footage.

Normally the recording will start out great but very quickly drop to about 1/2 a frame per sec.

I've had some luck playing with the bit rate and scaling down the image but nothing to solve this. I've had a good search around but all answers so far seem to answer similar problems but for older versions of the software. While I've tried to use those fixes as best I can, they seem to make little to no difference.

I've used bit rates as low as 1500 all the way up to 20000. While I seemed to get better results below around 8000 there was no real improvement when reducing further.

RAM usage seems to be peaking at around 50/60%, I have 8GB installed.

I'm writing the recorded data to a separate SSD drive from the actual game that is being played.

I will upload my log file later today, I'm in work right now so don't have access to that PC.

EDIT: I have just seen something about Win10 issues.

I seem to have had some luck following the link above.

How could I go about increasing the quality?
The image isn't downscaled at all but is still a little blurry. I don't seem to have the quality balance settings?

Log will be in the next post

I believe I have now solved this.
Due to issues with the currant graphics drivers and Win10 (AMD) my frame rate sometimes drops quite low in some areas. When this dropped below the recording rate the stutter would occur.
Now I've dropped the recording frame rate to 20FPS, I no longer have any issues.
