Question / Help In game FPS stutters when adding a webcam

I stream games like CS:GO and osu! at 720p/30fps. Without a video capture device on, my framerate is well above the 144 fps threshold I require in counter strike. Adding a video capture device, namely the Logiteh C920 causes sound to stutter and seem choppy and causes frame stutters. FPS graphs show my FPS at 190-210 while using a webcam but the sound and frame stutters make it feel like I'm playing at 50 FPS. I use an Auzentech Forte 7.1HD sound card and I have a GTX 660Ti graphics card. My processor is an i7-3770k.

I just want to be able to stream with a webcam without these sound/frame stutters in game.

Hm, if you have any USB 3.0 ports, try to put your webcam on one of those. They provide more data bandwith and generally are more reliable than 2.0, especially for something like a camera. If that's not an option, I would recommend reducing the webcam resolution to be closer to what you're actually using in your OBS scene (actually, I recommend doing this anyway)
