Hey all,

I just wanted to get a second opinion here if I may. I finally figured out OBS Studio and I'm looking to see if there is anything else I can do to improve stream quality or if there are options I'm missing that could make it better.

Here is a short clip: https://www.twitch.tv/thedigitalbench/v/67026054

Log file attached. It looks pretty okay to me.

(I'll go ahead and crosspost this from Shacknews for posterity.)

If you aren't trying to use different streaming and recording settings (e.g. stream at 720p60 and record at 1080p60) you should use the downscaling options under Settings > Video instead of the rescaling options under Settings > Output. That will be a bit faster since it's done on the GPU instead of the CPU and will give you access to the scaling filters. It looks like you may already being doing this according to the more recent parts of the log file.

You could get CoreAudio stuff installed for better audio compression, instructions are available at https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/obs-studio-enable-coreaudio-aac-encoder-windows.220/

You could also try the custom params aq-mode=2 and bframes=16 as they shouldn't incur much additional CPU load and can make some minor quality improvements. I generally recommend against messing with custom params unless you really know what you're doing.

Not much else comes to mind for an i5-2500K, I'd be hesitant to up the preset from veryfast for 720p60 but you're of course free to experiment.
