Image Slideshow plays in seemingly random order - Google Drive issue?

I use the Image Slideshow source to overlay hymn lyrics, prayers, and other text on top of the camera feed using transparent png files. This past Sunday they started displaying in strange sequences. Some went in the order of the filenames while others went backwards, and others went in some other order. All of my files are named something like this "077-00", "077-01", etc. to get them to sort in order. I've never had a problem with it until this week.

I did, however, change the mechanism to sync files from my home computer to the church computer. I had been using Microsoft Teams/SharePoint, but switched to Google Drive. I think I have verified that it's a Google Drive issue because if I copy the GDrive folder to a local folder (straight copy and paste - no changes) it works as expected. Anyone have any idea why the Image Slideshow would read the files in a different order when it's from the Google Drive folder instead of a true local folder?

I can setup another mechanism to copy the files, but that's adding complexity I'd rather avoid. But that's probably what I'll do for this week as a band-aid.

Thanks,
John

Having the exact same thing happen. It might have to do how you actually install gdrive. You get two choices. To mount it as a virtual drive in your "My computer", or as a regular folder. Maybe using one of the two, fixes it. Haven't tested yet though.

Anyways, perhaps try this one? There's a big problem with using too many images in a slideshow resulting in not all images showing, so, you might wanna consider this. https://obsproject.com/forum/resour...ng-the-memory-limit-of-image-slide-show.1307/

I use the same solution, i.e. google drive, so that I can preload the files remotely.

I found the issue is with using the "Add Directory" option on the slideshow. The slides would play back in the correct sequence on one computer but reverse on another.

The solution is to "Add Files" instead. Annoying really, I only came on here to see if it had been fixed yet!

Try using DropBox instead, I have just switched and all my tests so far have been OK using three PC's.
