Question / Help Image slideshow getting stuck on a image

I am trying to make a slideshow of about 30 images and gifs. The largest file size is 2.5mb and the average is .5mb. Everything seems to work fine with 2 images in the slideshow but as soon as I add a 3rd it just stalls on that image and won't progress even in manual mode.

The slideshow is limited to 250MB of uncompressed image data, use of GIF can easily exceed this.

How can I tell if I am exceeding that limit and if it is what is causing the problem? The combined file size of all the jpegs and gifs is 49mb.

You can calculate the memory usage by multiplying width * height * frames * 4. Eg a 1920x1080 GIF with 42 frames would consume 348 MB and no further images would load.

Was having this same issue since mine has been working for months. I rolled mine back to 23.0.1 and the slideshow works fine.

I tried that and you are right, in the latest version if I use one or two gifs it stalls. But in 23.0.1 I dropped my whole folder in and the slideshow is working fine. It doesn't seem to be eating up a bunch of ram either.
