Question / Help Image Slideshow crashes OBS

When i try to load into Image Slideshow more than about 110 images, it crashes OBS Studio. Whether i load files or as a directory. Is there a limit? I've checked for corrupt files, used different combinations of files. There seems to be a point where there are just too many. Is this by design?? Thx for any help.

You're loading too many images and OBS is crashing due to you running 32bit OBS and not having enough memory in 32bit space. Run 64bit OBS instead and you should be fine.

Thx for the response, i have tried 64 bit, but it crashes every time i try to run it, which is why im using 32b. it also crashes on images, but just when i try to add files, i cant even open the file browser. Also seems flakey in other ways, so just stopped trying and switched to 32bit. attached error log from 64bit

That did it, thx so much. Is there anything to be done about the enormous amount of RAM Image Slideshow consumes??

how else to i do a random pic slideshow on a broadcast? why should it matter how many source pics there are, i only display one at a time? i certainly don't want EVERY pic loaded into memory any more than i want EVERY frame of a video preloaded? is there something I'm missing about the config??

The slideshow source currently loads all images in to memory to ensure a smooth transition to the next image.

And why couldn't you guys include a do not load from memory but instead from disk like option?

I wish to slideshow a 36GB 22,156 file slideshow for my art stream...

Please provide your crash log, this is not a fix for every single OBS crash. Are you even sure you have the same crash?

In the future, you should create your own thread and post the details of your issue than posting on someone else's thread.
