Question / Help Im Having Lag with Intel Quicksync

11:55:13.515: Output 'adv_file_output': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 3723 (51.4%)

Looks like your GPU is getting destroyed, which isn't that surprising given the totally underpowered hardware you're working with. What kind of FPS do you get in the game? Have you made sure your GPU is running on the latest drivers? They're available from https://downloadcenter.intel.com/do...for-Windows-10-64-bit-N-Series-?product=87257
I actually get very good fps in game. about 40-50 frames in most games. However i dont know if my GPU is running the latest driver. how do i check?

Also i dont even know what my driver is. Im pretty sure its an intel driver and it says version ten then i look at the website and it says there is a verison 15??? Should i install it?

Ok so i have "downloaded" my latest driver. for me thats version 15... will that help?

EDIT: I cant update my driver. i think im screwed.
ANOTHER EDIT: Im working on updating manually at the moment.

If you aren't holding a steady 60 FPS then your GPU is maxing out, which will cause problems with OBS performance.

Yes, Bandicam runs better in low end PC.
In my old laptop (2008) Centrino2 P8400, with OBS I could not record or stream. FFSplit had a little more performance streaming, but also crappy (bad CPU, bad graphics)
OBS Studio runs better than Classic in that laptop. (and in any PC)
Bandicam was able to record with no lag.

Anyway, Bandicam has not all the posibilities of OBS

If you look more thoroughly into your video and single-step through the frames, you will see that the video mostly consists of duplicated frames. It's not really 60 frames per second. The real frame rate is much lower. You can see this: the video is not smooth but stuttering. I downloaded the video and counted all frames: 44353, which makes a video length of 12:19 at 60 fps. Using ffmpeg to eliminate duplicated frames, it results in only 9214 frames, which makes only 12,5 frames per second. This is a frame loss of about 79%.
If you record with a fps of 12 or 15 with OBS in the first place, you would not have these frame losses and less stutter. This is also the performance one would expect from your low-end machine.

What is totally wrong is trying to record at 60 fps. Your machine isn't able to produce 60 fps in any video. It duplicates frames instead.

Thank you.
This makes a lot of sense

So, im trying to record and stream in 720p. (Not to worried about 60 fps) but the thing is that whenever i record it can get laggy (i record with a bitrate of 3500 and sometimes 4000) and same with streaming (bitrate of 3500) i cant x264 because my cpu sucks really bad. Quicksync was my only hope but its still not working. Also, whenever i try to fullscreen a game its ALWAYS lagging in OBS Studio. and i dont want to use windowed because then the game looks very stretched out and bad quality. Also my recordings freeze for 2-4 seconds in the beginning and whenever i try moving in a high motion game everything gets pixelated.
I found l ALOT lower video settings that allowed me to stream and record in HD with no lag. Now im just finding out how to stop the pixelated glitching.
we have the same pc so try these settings it works for me
