If your OBS crashes when starting stream. Try this...

I have tried everything to the point of blaming the ISP. Almost feel bad now.

But, turns out, 1 setting (maybe 2) inside the game I was trying to stream was causing the issue.

- Frame rate : Make sure this is capped... do NOT use unlimited.
- (maybe also v-sync) I had v-sync on, turned it off the same time as capping the frame rate.

Got through to Youtube immediately after that. Hope it helps.

This was with a 4080, 64gb ram and m.2 disks and all that... so apparently some games just go crazy with hogging GPU power when set at unlimited.

EDIT:

Will have to take it back... dunno what is going on. The above worked once. Then it started crashing again.

What's interesting is that I had an old broadcast lying in the manager and if I chose that, it would run...
The planned youtube broadcast I made this morning (inside my live settings) for today simply doesn't work.

So I tried creating a new broadcast to youtube, even though it's completely useless because you can fill out as much detail, and that also runs fine.

Why is it, that broadcasts, pre-made on the Youtube live channel settings wont connect?
