Hey guys hope you are all well I have a sleight problem when I am running obs where it will start ok sometimes then stutter or sometimes straight to stutter and I can work out why so hope you guys can help. I do keep an eye on my equipment to see temps etc and usage so as to see if that causes the problem but it isnt. I use medium 720p@60fps 3500kbps, I know it sounds a lot but my i7 on the harder games like shadow of mordor, GTA V etc only goes to a max of 60 percent and thats rare that happens. My in game experience is perfectly fine with fps well into the 100s on most games but I am just at a loss. I have used regular obs and multiplatform obs and have the same outcome. I am new with theis equipment of 5820k and a 970 and used to use an fx 8350 and a 7950hd and do 720@60 on faster without any hassle but some how with the more beefy processor and gpu im getting this stutter and cant tell why. I will attach a log file so you can take a look. Please help anything will be appreciated.

I believe that I might be having a similar problem with AMD 860k and GTX670, I can run Battlefield 3 on ultra with 60 frames, but I cannot record with aero more than 20 fps, and I cannot record more than 40 fps without it (Recording desktop btw). When I am recording, the fps i see is perfect but not on the recorded version. I have fairly standard settings with 1500 encoding and 1680x1050@60fps

you dont have a similar problem since you have different hardware, the resolve will be different. start your own thread and post a link to your logfile from the help menu in that new thread.
we dont really do the whole "me to!" thing in these forums. each issue is the OPs thread to resolve his issue.

First, this is the forum for normal OBS. we keep the two separate since they are different builds. do you have a logfile from regular OBS? if not thats fine since I can move your thread and we'll continue, but I will need a logfile from when your CPU was actually under stress of streaming or recording with a game. Just let me know what you want to troubleshoot, the old OBS or OBS MP?

just a fair warning, I'm going to bed now, there are a few others that can take a look for you. If you dont get a response, just bump it tomorrow and update of what you've tried to fix it.

just so you know, I have a very similar CPU and @4.5GHz run med preset no issue, but presets are game dependent when you're really pushing it even though I dont think the preset is your issue quite yet.

https://gist.github.com/4dc9d594ec0290e423d9 there is tghe regularf obs file, my 5820k is oc properly to 4.5 ghz and uncore to 3.8 at the moment so thats why I am wondering about the drops/skips sometimes. Thanks for you help so far by the way.
Well dont use anticheat hook for game capture unless you have to.

second, Total frames encoded: 1180, total frames duplicated: 95 (8.05%)
this should be under 1% so there is something going on. and those aren't even the settings that you said you were using so how do you expect me to get a good baseline?
anyway, sorry, bedtime. I tried to wait :P

I resolved my stuttering on Windows 10 by disabling CFR. Question though, when you replaced your computer components, did you do a clean windows and driver install afterwards? If not, that might just fix it.

BTW I have the same setup as you, an i7 5820k @ 4.4 Ghz and a GTX 970. Haven't had any issues anymore after disabling CFR and updating to the newest obs version 0.655b which you already seem to have.
