Question / Help i7 6700k or i7 5280k?

Hi,

planning to buy a new cpu / mainboard for streaming. I´d have to pay ~150$ more for the 5280k + mainboard.
Is it worth it ? I´m guessing both will be able to stream 720p 60 fps, while handling any pc game released in 2017 / 2018 at high Settings. So i really dont know, if the higher price on the 5280k is justified.

The higher price is justified but why would you buy an haswell-e CPU (5280k) when Broadwell-E (6800k) has been out for quite some months now. http://ark.intel.com/de/products/94189/Intel-Core-i7-6800K-Processor-15M-Cache-up-to-3_60-GHz

Getting back to why its justified, you are getting 2 extra cores with Hyperthreading that measn 4 Threads which is a big deal for encoding epsecially for streaming.

5820k and 6800k will both handle 720p60 on e.g. medium Preset by far better than a 6700k while gaming on the same PC.

40$ more for the 6800 and harder to oc. I heard they´ve got almost the same Performance..
