Question / Help i7 4790 vs 6700

I'm currently stuck inbetween a rock and a hard place for choosing 1 of these CPU's.

6700 is the newest skylake BUT it comes without a CPU cooler.
4790 Is the 2nd best but comes with a CPU cooler.

I live in Denmark and our currency is DKK

The 6700 is (413,78$)
The 4790 is (399,01$)

I'm on a budget at around 591,12$

the cheapest CPU cooler i could find is 73,89$

but i also need a new mobo and some new ram.

How does the 6700 performs from the 4790? and how much difference is there really?

is it worth it paying those extra 113$ for the 6700.
The 6700 performs 5%.

My current CPU is a i5-2400 which is old as heck.

The 6700 is going to be a nice bump over the 4790. Look at a Coolermaster Hyper 212 EVO. Great, inexpensive cooler that performs better than many more expensive units.

I'd really recommend saving up a bit more if you want to go for the high end and get solid core parts (mobo, cpu, psu), and just continuing to stream on the i5-2400 for now until a bit more budget is there. The i5 should be able to swing 720p@30fps.

Been looking around and i might be able to swing these exact components.

Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper T4
CPU - Intel Core i7-6700K Skylake - Box
RAM - Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4-2133 DC - 16GB x2 8g
MOBO - MSI Z170A TOMAHAWK

My PSU is good enough for it.

Only thing that is old in my computer is my CPU and Mobo.

The 6700 cpu is the latest from intel skylake and i heard it's great.

Those don't look bad, though I'd still go with the 212 EVO if it was my build. Also only use ASUS for my own systems, as I've been burned by MSI in the past. Personal bias there though.

The 6700 is a decent consumer-grade chip, and should work great. For streaming specifically, a 5820k would be better thanks to the additional cores and PCIe lanes, but also more expensive.

The 212 is only 10$ more here so i will go with that for sure! and hopefully i'll be able to stream division and far cry primal etc with those specs. I should be able to though
