Hi so basically i get a massive frame drop when i stream with dark souls.
AS said i have a 3770k and HD7950 so i should be all good.
Im also only playing at 720p and scaling down to 540p.

i dont see what the problem would be.
EDIT:
Added log:
(wouldnt fit in code brackets)

You're trying to use window capture in Windows 7 with Aero disabled. Performance will always be super bad with that combo. Turn Aero back on.

Aero being off is the easily-fixed part.
FROM's poor PC porting job can't really be corrected by end users.

Sorry bout that. I thought the file was there. Its updated now
Yeah enable aero (uncheck disable aero in OBS) and make sure you are using a windows aero theme.

run through the test again and post another log of the results so we can compare. This this doesn't work well for you we might even try to use VCE build of OBS.Even though your CPU is fine, some games might be better suited for a hardware encoder and the resolution you are using should be well suited for this.
