i want to record above 240fps to get a better motion blur look in minecraft but when i record the video lags and stutters?

i cant record above 240fps, i have a 165hz monitor i have a decent pc amd ryzen 5 3600, nvidia rtx 2060 super but i cant record high fps. I have seen people record up to 480fps on more lower end systems then mine. I get decent fps in game and i cap it so my recording is better but i have tryed mostly everything but nothing works. help!

So you record the file and it lags and stutters during playing the file back yeah? Firstly the issue could be with the decoder in whatever video player you're opening the file in. Make sure you're able to open the video file with a player that supports hardware decoding and using the right renderer for that player.
Secondly. It's possible that watching your footage back using a non-divisible refresh rate (360 doesn't divide nicely by 165) that you're experiencing stutter due to that fact.

One way to check for decoder lag is to re-encode the video file using a transcoder to a 60fps file and seeing if it still stutters and lags. Other than that. I don't see any indication in OBS that you're dropping frames on the encode.

I have had issues with the hardware GPU scheduler in the past though. So perhaps see if the playback still suffers with that off.
