I want to hear a stereo blend in my headphones, not separate channels!

Let me explain: As a musician, I like to record a session using my Logitech web camera's video. But the audio, I record through my PreSonus Studio 26c interface using OBS. I first set the levels on my Presonus for my voice (inst/line 1) and my guitar (inst/line 2). At this point, as I'm listening, the stereo balance seems perfect to me. When I press the record button, I continue to hear my voice and guitar nicely balanced. But when I play back, I hear my voice 90% in my left ear and my guitar 90% in my right ear of my headphones. .... What I would prefer to hear at playback is the stereo balance the same as when I'm first setting the levels as above. I hope that makes sense.....Thank you, Tom

Are you monitoring your "mix" during preparation and recording thru the same earphones as during the playback thereafter?

And how do you "mix" and balance thru the PreSonus 26c at all? Its no mixer, as i can see.
Possibly its just a "instant monitoring" for the musician itself, so i assume that the device just routes thru the two line-in's as a (strictly panned) stereo pairs.

Update: Your PreSonus seems to support two special modes for instant rehearsel and loopback.

This has nothing to do with OBS at all, but at PreSonus there is mentioned that you use "the last pair 5&6" within the recording software. I hope you know what's meant. Seems that the PreSonus provides more than one stereo pairs/interfaces.

If not, you should go and try the asio way. PreSonus provides asio drivers and there is an asio plugin for obs. It provides a "asio input device" as source at scene level:

"If not, you should go and try the asio way. PreSonus provides asio drivers and there is an asio plugin for obs. What is "scene level" you are referring to? Thank you... tom

At "scene level" means, that the obs-asio plugin brings the possibility to insert a source of type "asio input capture" into a scene (not within the global audio-settings!). You will see that as soon as you install the plugin...

If the asio drivers of the presonus are installed, you will see this that way, too. If you go that way and insert an asio input capture the following dialog will show you a selection of available asio device in your computer.

Hey guys... Thank you for your responses. I accidentally stumbled onto the solution to my problem which turns out to be VERY simple. I did not know it, but Windows 10 has a setting called Ease of Access. Then click on "Audio". Click on that and there is a slider/on/off button called "Turn on mono audio". That completely solved my issue. Now I have nice stereo balance in both ears of my headphones! So simple! I must have accidentally turned it off at some point. I don't know why this feature is not in "Sound Settings". And it is counter intuitive to have to click on mono when I want what I perceive as stereo. But anyway, problem solved!
