the default setting of OBS for capture gear is 30fps and is greyed out, i set it manually to 60fps and now streaming at 30fps looks smoother

perhaps what was happening is, OBS was already only getting half the frames which is why it always looked weird.

gonna do a some more streating to see if i notice a clear difference, but right away it doesnt look as noticable

obviously once twitch goes to full HTML5 this will probably all not even matter

I dont know if anyone but you has a clue of what exactly you are talking about. you seem to be in mid thought and I dont really see a question in here...

i also remember someone mentioning that chrome causes stuttering, watched in IE and didnt notice it.

may have also been hardware acceleration

What are you even talking about?

there's an issue with chrome that shows a stuttering rather than a smooth effect which another thread, or possible a post on the reddit forum talked about and the only way to fix it is not-so-direct methods

when i loaded up my twitch stream in IE it looks smooth and just like the actual OBS preview at any FPS

i was seriously thinking it was an issue with the new Elgato Pro, but thankfully its not.

and to be clear, this is using the standard OBS version
