Hello guys, I need to buy a computer for streaming, but I don't know what OBS need to work fine.
I don't know if is better buy the parts and assamble it, and install Windows or buy a MacMini.
The graphic card is important?
I will stream at 720

Mac's are very overpriced for their performance/firepower.

You would be better off buying or building a Windows or Linux box.

First of all, Macs are garbage.

Do you want to game and stream on the same PC, or use a two-PC setup with a video capture card?

In any event, whatever you stream with would work best with a quad-core i7, but you can get away with a lesser CPU if you want to save money, depending on the game, possibly.

Thx both for reply, I will not stream games, I will stream conferences of a foundation. Maybe dual core i5 more less 3.0 Ghz + a good graphic card would be fine?

Assuming in your application what you're streaming isn't very CPU-intensive, you could sacrifice speed (GHz) if you get more cores. x264 encoding is very good at using cores. You wouldn't want to do the reverse and go for speed but less cores if you're not gaming (or doing other CPU intensive tasks), that would be counterproductive.

You should prefer a quad core I'd say. Hyperthreading you can count as one core. So a dual core < dual core with hyperthreading < quad core, for example.

As for a graphics card, I'd go for a GTX 1050. Newly released and inexpensive, you don't need something really good, just good enough, and the 1050 is perfect.

Btw, if it fits your pricepoint, this would be an outstanding way to go: https://www.reddit.com/r/Twitch/comments/47bzdc/budget_friendly_secondary_streaming_pc_guide
