I cany get the sound to work no matter what i do so I have uploaded some photos with the hope some can assist
its a mis match whist there is no moviemt to any audio device showin
a strang thisn if one strates to record one gets the picture and for some obscure reason some sound fro a file thats on the same dive thats not even opened , it not continue but parts of the other movie
this is what my seting are but happy to learn
the most stupid part id on my sons computer it runs without a issue first time
and his computer is way way old
the only aparent difference he is running direct optical sound out

Please post a log with your issue! Here's how...

OBS Studio creates a log file each time you run it which contains very useful diagnostic information. Without a log file, it's much harder for any support volunteers to figure out problems and your post may be ignored. To upload a log file, go to the Help menu > Log Files > Upload Last Log...

real-time video encoding is VERY computationally demanding. if your PC is that old, it could simply be overloaded (basic hardware resource monitoring .. ie Task Manager [Performance Tab} and/or Resource Monitor should help identify) and if CPU maxed out, then all kinds of unstable, inconsistent behavior is expected

apreciate that advice but it does not work mine is not a ceep china but high end ezy26m model
please consider this work in my sons computer sound and picture so its not the unit problem
the unit is fine
some how it does not connect the sound to obs or the video player program in fact the player wont connect the video or sound
magix also playes the video and no sound
its to do with i think the driver or how the mother boad uses sound from the usb port \

it can tbe that hard for a computer expert on this one
if you in adelaide i will gice you a six pack for the help

ok guys i have finaly found a way to get audio controls in w10 gee to many attemps to get this hours of waisting time

now the first view is showing it still does not play the sound track from the capture card
the second one shoows it playes a sound trak from a video file playing in the background but using the input and outpu of the program

i hope that helps the only difference is in divice manager with my sons working computer and this capture card is his shows using S/PDIF digital that missing from my computer mine showing only digital , meening no outpout to record
