Cant record valorant with obs anymore and im getting really mad, after i installed my new 144 hz monitor im having black screen , ive tried a few fixes that i found, but nothings working. Tried compatibility mode , run as admin , use different type of capture , still nothing , my desktop records fine and as soon i get into the game obs goes black , any ideas?

We'd need to see a logfile from a streaming or recording attempt to be able to diagnose the issue. Why it asks for one to be included when you open a thread in the Support section.

Update to 27.1.3
REMOVE the compatibility mode for the older version of windows (It breaks more than it fixes)

Do not have programs like rivatuner or afterburner running until after the game is capturing with obs.

Post a new logfile from the non-compatibility mode, it may contain information about why the game is not being captured. Have you tried capturing the game with Game and Window captures? Some need GC, some WC depending on how they are coded sometimes.

I found a fix, its probably because of the newest version ,i reverted to obs 27.0.0 and im having no problems with the same settings, thank you for your help anyway! Probably the new version breaks with windows 7

Ah, possibly. Win7 is end-of-life at this point, so is below minimum requirements for OBS Studio. It *may* work, but it's no longer being tested or supported.
As a side note, it's still possible to upgrade to Win10 with a Win7 key for free at present.
In any case, glad you figured out a fix, and good luck!
