Question / Help I need confirmation

What would be better to use as an encoder? x264 or Nvidia NVENC? taking into account that I have a weak cpu(AMD A4-5300 APU dual-core).

I've read that choosing x264 is better for as long as the processor can handle it but I'm not quite sure on which encoder to choose.

I also have read and applied the Quick Start Guide settings. https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/official-quick-start-guide.5/

Although I haven't really tested it yet. But I do hope the settings works just fine.

Any additional tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Additional Information that maybe of use:
GPU: Nvidia GeForce 730
RAM: 4gb
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
Monitor Resolution: 1366x768

From what I recall those GeForce 730 cards don't support NVENC, so you'll have to use x264... and with a CPU that weak, you'll really need to turn down those settings.

Well it does unless OBS thinks it does but really doesn't then that's a problem. I can choose it on my settings as well

OBS thinks so because of a bug. You have to check with NVidia if a GPU support NVENC, and all my Google searches showed that NVidia doesn't support NVENC in the GT series.
