Question / Help I need better OBS settings, I'm having problems with playing files.

They don't play right unless I open them in VLC. Sometimes the audio is missing. Also if I load them in Final Cut Pro or any program, the program lags when I scrub or play through them. If I import and export them in After Effects, they play and load quicker.

Change your bitrate to 20000, the scene buffering time to 700, the NVEnc Preset to High Quality, check Use CFR, uncheck Allow 60-120 FPS, check Encode in Full Range, set your Base Resolution to your actual Monitor resolution and then use a Resolution Downscale (if you want).

Then do an at least five minute recording of high action content, find the OBS log file, and post it back here.

Awesome, thanks man this worked! One thing is that the audio file doesn't match up to the video. Also the first 3 or so seconds of the video, it's choppy. For some reason, the audio is a couple seconds off.. :/ Any clue?

Its not unusual to have duplicated frames at the start of encoding, that's why we ask for five minute or longer encodes when posting log files, so those first few seconds aren't statistically significant.

As for audio-video desync, I don't know. Could be a ton of different things.
