EDIT -------------------------------
Hi all, 2pc set up with no capture card, Whenever I make a change on stream I have to restart OBS as administrator or I get constant freezing, after I do this it's fine, but when I change game, unless I restart obs 95% of the stream is frozen!
I've tried changing all manner of settings but cannot seem to work out what is going on.

I am on Windows 10 (recently upgraded both pcs)

Streaming PC last log https://gist.github.com/232c773c1c7e8a9fcdf425de8a6cca2b

Any ideas what is going on? tried changing almost everything, I get no lag in game, and CPU on streaming pc is on about 60% max.

I have set up a seperate profile for both games that I play.

Thankyou.

Two game captures can cause issues if both try to capture same game.
Use only one. You can configure a hotkey to select what to capture.

Only one of the scenes was active at any given time, would it be easier to have a completely new scene for each game?
Tried with both active and 1 active and it's the same result.

All scene description in that log:
20:26:25.143: - scene 'H1':
20:26:25.143: - source: 'H1Z1' (game_capture)
20:26:25.143: - source: 'Overwatch' (game_capture)
20:26:25.143: - source: 'Chatbox' (browser_source)
20:26:25.143: - source: 'Webcam' (dshow_input)
20:26:25.143: - filter: 'Chroma Key' (chroma_key_filter)
20:26:25.143: - source: 'Overlay' (image_source)
20:26:25.143: - source: 'Alerts' (browser_source)
20:26:25.143: - source: 'OverlayOW' (image_source)

It is only one scene with 2 game captures in it.
I suppose you have configured each gamne caoture with soecific game in int

But best advice (Given by developerS) is having only one game capture per scene collection.
Just reuse it in every scene.

You can use game capture "Capture any fullscreen application" OR "Capture foreground window with hotkey"

So, try with only one game capture. Maybe this solves your issue. (I hope)

I will test it now!

No, zero improvement.
changed to both of the options, foreground with hotkey is simpler to be fair so will stick with that, but whenever I switch from 1 game to another, my stream is 95% frozen from that point unless I restart OBS on both pcs.

Really need to get this fixed, cant stream like this :(

Any suggestions anyone?
to put it simply, I can load up my pc and stream a game fine, no lag, no stutter, no delay.
The second I close the game and load up a new game, the stream instantly freezes about 95% of the time (the gaming pc has no lag at all, just the stream)
As soon as i close obs on both pcs and reload, the stream runs like clockwork again.
As soon as i then change to the next game, freezing.

I've tried stopping the stream on both pc's, no luck, they both have to be closed and started as admin to fix the problem.

I'm not exactly clear on how you're sending the video between the two PCs. Can you explain your setup a bit more?

I don't have a capture card, So I have Nginx + static IP on my streaming pc,
My gaming pc streams to my streaming pc (via VLC video source)
Then streaming pc to twitch.
There does not seem to be any problem until I change game then obs does not seem to want to work.
To be honest I am not entirely sure how it's all set up, I did not find the rtmp post on this forum helpful at all.

I can try to explain it but I have no idea what is right/wrong

Gaming pc -
OBS running, Under settings I have the URL set as the static IP of my streaming pc followed by /live (stream key set to "test")

Streaming Pc -
OBS running, Under settings I have the URL set to my twitch url
A VLC Video Source set up > Add path/url is set to the static IP of the streaming pc followed by /live/test
Nginx Running

Hope that clears up exactly what I am doing, I got to this stage by mixture of 2x youtube videos

Edit - Should both the gaming pc URL and the streaming pc VLC source both have the same static IP of the streaming pc /live? (the vlc source with /test also)

Does the preview in OBS only on the streaming PC freeze up, or does it freeze on the gaming PC too? If it's only on the streaming PC... I'm not sure there's much we can do.

I can only assume so as it's full screen on the gaming pc, I will put it on window mode and try to resize the window to see.
Could it be windows 10?

Highly unlikely it has anything to do with Windows 10. Let's follow the chain how we can, and see if we can figure out where the issue is. Start by verifying if it's freezing up on the gaming PC first. If it's there, we can start troubleshooting why.

The obs preview on gaming pc does not freeze at all.
Just on the streaming pc it freezes.

It seems everything works absolutely find until I change game then all of a sudden the stream freezes,

Yeah sorry just remembered I had not actually streamed on the test, but it was freezing on the stream pc which means it would have been on stream.
I honestly dont believe whats happening, I went to stream again to give you another log and video, showing the 1st game stream perfect but then freeze when changing, and would you believe it's now perfect?
I will report back in a few hours if it happens again, i'll restart my pc soon and see how it goes!
