Question / Help I have a good computer but OBS still lags (Both streaming and local)

Hey so I recently started streaming but I noticed that while I stream, OBS lags.

I thought it was because of my internet connection which isn't really that bad (5mb up) but OBS also lags when I record locally.

The log was too long to post so I uploaded the link to it.

Keep in mind that while I'm recording in-game I still get around 200+ FPS, just when I look back at the video file, it's laggy and stutters a lot.

My computer specs are as follows:

CPU: Intel i7 2600k Quad core overclocked to 4.5 ghz

GPU: GTX 690

RAM: 12 GB Corsair Vengeance

PSU: Corsair AX1200 Gold

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB

You changed your x264 preset to 'fast', which is probably causing the problems. I would recommend changing that back to 'veryfast'.

I switched it back to "veryfast" but still no difference. For some reason, now my fps IN GAME is lagging too when I stream...

while under winows 7 and aero is active

disable aero and use monitor capture + game capture in two different scenes

or

enable aero and use window capture + game capture also in two different scenes

this will probably change a lot

use as less as possible global sources

Well I disabled aero and also tried out the NVENC instead of x264 and now it works FLAWLESSLY. Even at 60FPS! Thank you guys for contributing to this thread and for helping me come to the conclusion!!!!
