I had a black screen and now I've got infinity screens

Hi,

I had OBS recording my screen and audio perfectly last week, and then it wasn't this morning. I've reinstalled it and then followed the thread Laptop? Black screen when capturing? Read here first. as that seemed to be the problem I was having.

I've just followed the instructions and now I've got screens going on into infinity ...

this is normal if you capture the screen showing the preview from your screencapture

Oh my life ... I've just wasted I don't want to think about how long getting confused about this. I misread what I was choosing. Thanks! :)

So, for anyone else who does this, you choose Window Capture ... not Display Capture

Oh, then I couldn't get PowerPoint to record properly. That's why I'd used Display Capture in the first place ...

All makes sense now!
