Question / Help I encode with CQP 18 and....

When I open an mp4 file the properties say
Bit rate mode : Variable
Bit rate : 56.1 Mb/s
Maximum bit rate : 40.0 Mb/s

Maximum bit rate 40.0 Mb/s What? Why is that? Is there an issue here? Isn't that weird?
 
The file properties are not likely going to be accurate
And you should NEVER save directly to mp4.

No matter what CQP I pick it always says Maximum bit rate : 40.0 Mb/s
Yeah I know I can lose a footage. I'm lacking for space now so.
 
those properties are never right with CQP actually

And if you're lacking space, you have even MORE reason to NOT save directly to mp4
If you run out of space before you finish your recording, that recording WILL BE IRREVOCABLY CORRUPT.

hahaha do you read update logs? It cuts off when 50 mb is left now
