Hey there ! I use my chat in my "just chatting" scene because otherwise just my webcam would feel empty. Anyways, the size of my chat box is quite big, its normal size takes about half the screen, and I have seen multiple livestreams with custom chats that are at a reasonable width and lenght.
When cropping, well, it crops out the chat messages, if I make it smaller by click-dragging it while holding l-shift, it stretches/squeezes the chat box. I don't know if there is a way to fix that within OBS studios, or if I have to use like HTML or CSS to create something to be satisfied with. Thank you in advance !
Here is the "normal size" when adjusted to be fitting from top to bottom, it takes 3/4 of the screen.
And here is if I squeeze it to make it take approx. 1/4 of the screen.
